The “Dessert Sampler”, Silent Auction and Speaker event will bring together over 250 guests for an afternoon of tasting homemade treats, and beverages from The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, bidding on fabulous silent auction items,, such as an overnight stay for 2 at the BALBOA BAY CLUB & Resort, and learning about the importance of preserving the grandparent-grandchild bond.

Our Master of Ceremonies is Friends of OASIS president, Scott Paulsen, with  as selection of distinguished guest speakers, the Honorable Marian Bergeson, former

California state legislator, author , psychologist and grandparent expert, Dr. Lillian Carson, Family Law Attorney, Sheryl Edgar, Center For Children & Family Law, Family Law Attorney, Jeff Stivers and a few surprises.

The casual summer afternoon affair will enlighten the community about a growing social problem affecting families everywhere.


Your support of the event will assist Advocates For Grandparent Grandchild Connection to continue to provide support and education services to disenfranchised grandparents on behalf of giving a child a voice about who they may love.

Dr. Lillian Carson, nationally renowned child development, parenting and grandparenting authority, psychotherapist, & author of the “Essential Grandparent”, also appeared on The Today Show, CBS Evening News, CNN, & MSNBC.

Sheryl Edgar, Esq, family law attorney, A Center For Children & Family Law, experienced in grandparent visitation cases.

Senator Marian Bergeson, who is the 1st woman ever to serve on both the Cal. State Assembly & Cal. State Senate, member of State legislature from 1978-1995.

Susan Hoffman, director of Advocates For Grandparent Grandchild Connection.

Presentation of an educational documentary film trailer promoting understanding about challenges faced by grandchildren and grandparents when mutual access has been unreasonably broken. Film has the power to communicate in the broadest sense for the purpose

of raising awareness to those who need help and to those who can give help. The premise is that good people act when they see an injustice.
